Assessment of "Expert" Qualifications
It is well recognized that not all "experts" appearing in a consulting role are qualified, on the basis of their training and experience, to provide valid commentary. While it is clearly a prerogative of the court to make a final determination in this regard the Medical-Legal Committee of the ACSS has now extended this assessment service to the spine surgery community, in addition to it's fellows. The committee will provide, as a "friend of the court", an assessment of a "expert's" qualifications by request.
