Medical-legal case review
The services of the Medical-Legal Committee are available, upon request, by any fellow of the College in good standing. Should a medical-legal suit be brought against a fellow and if there is a belief, on the part of the fellow, that the action is without merit the Committee will be pleased to provide a case review upon request. This review will be on a confidential basis and will be provided to the physician and his legal counsel under the work product doctrine. A standard charge for this service by the Committee will be billed with the remuneration being directed to the non-profit activities of the College, and not personally to the reviewers.
